A program in Chianti Rufina

I worked very closely with Andrea and Vinarium Tours http://www.vinaio.com/ throughout the entire 1st part of 2005 while he helped me plan a customized itinerary for 18 people that I put together in the Chianti Ruffina area (north of Florence) in September of 2005.

We had rented a magnificent 500 yr. old villa for our group and Andrea's services were recommended to me by the broker I used to rent the villa. Based on my relationship with my Italy broker, I felt comfortable with that reference and therefore contracted Andrea for all of our ground needs. The services he extended to us were as follows:

  • Suggestions of itinerary and coordination of events for 18 people for 7 days

  • Private transfers - including airport pick up and daily transfers to the cities, destinations chosen.

  • A private, knowledgeable, friendly, english speaking guide that we used daily

  • An awesome art history professor to escort us through the Uffizzi and the Accademia museums in Florence

  • A full day visit to 3 wineries in the Chianti Rufina area - including choice of vineyards, reservations and tours (fantastic!)

  • Museum reservations in Florence - including entrance tickets

  • 2 Dinner reservations (when not dining at the villa)

  • A private cooking class from a chef (at the villa)

  • A lecture from a history professor  (at our villa)

  • A musician to entertain us for a formal dinner (at our villa)

 

Everything went without a hitch. Andrea proved to be extremely efficient, affordable and accommodating to all of our needs and therefore I highly recommend his services.
